Exod.25.9 – According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.
Exod.25.40 – And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.
Exod.26.30 – And you shall raise up the tabernacle according to its pattern which you were shown on the mountain.
In every field of study there is always a modus operandi. To perform a cesarean section, you don’t cut diagonal or vertical; the surgeons have their pattern of cutting. In calculus there are steps to follow before you arrive at a correct answer. The Mason has learnt a pattern of mixing sand, cement and water in a particular ratio that not all people are accustomed to.
In same manner, whatever God seeks to do comes with its modus operandi. God wanted the Israelites to build an ark and a tabernacle. He knew that they had experts in Israel who could come up with mind-blowing designs but He called Moses to a secluded location to show him His pattern. It is essential to note that the secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him…Psalm 25:14.
Billionaires don’t meet in the marketplace to discuss important contracts. They meet at a secluded location and discuss business. If you sense or perceive God is calling you to do something you must get the pattern before you start work. Exodus 25:40 and 26:30 show where delicate information concerning the pattern of God was revealed; the mountain. The mountain was a place where God met Moses. It is like a secret place stated in Psalm 91:1. Meet God in your secret place for the pattern.
God has His pattern for everything He does. We cannot do things according to our pattern. You know why? Because, there is a way that seems right to a man but its end is the way of death (Proverbs 16:25).
Remember, every way of a man is right in his own eyes but the LORD weighs the hearts (Proverbs 21:2).
