Indeed, we the Prayer Committee(department) agree with the psalmist in the above- stated song that, it is expedient to pray as Christians and intercede for all manner of people at all times as evidenced in 1st Timothy 2:1-2.
This is a wing of PENSA UHAS noted and called to oversee the spiritual life of the church. With the mandate of intercession as its priority, it in turn seeks to help build and inculcate the Spirit of intercession in the prayer life of its members.
The Prayer Committee has a sub- committee called ‘Prayer Tower’ which until recently, had its name changed to ‘Bethel’. Members of this committee meet every Tuesday from at 18:00 GMT on the school’s field at the Dave Campus and is yet to extend its wings to the SRC and Defiat Hostels. It also meets bi-weekly on Wednesdays (so as to alternate with Bible Studies for the entire church) to lead the church in prayers.
Notwithstanding, it also organises half- night services every two weeks to revive the church and other programmes such as Holy Ghost Festival and Prayer Festival for the first and second semesters respectively. Currently, Brother Francis Ackah Ennin and Brother Emmanuel Takyi Boahene remain the leader and assistant respectively.
