In executing most of his plans, God calls people he has given an those agenda to, not because they’re special or most righteous people but just that they’re those that he wants to use at that particular time.
Presently we all have something we can do for God and we need to be all out and do it for God’s glory.
In 2 Timothy 3:1-4, God caution’s us of the caliber of people that will be present in these last days that we would have to beware of so to be Preserved. We also need to be lovers of God Rather than lovers of ourselves.
Some Reasons why we do not go all out for God includes:
1. Guilt. When we are tempted and we fail then guilt sets in. We feel so guilty that we have difficulty returning to God. But in HIS word God makes us understand that if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us and purify us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We should however note that when we really understand the Love God showed to us on the cross, we wouldn’t want to hurt him and that means not sinning against HIM. Isaiah 6:5-7, Romans 8:1, Hebrew 4:15-16, Romans 5:8
2. Excuses. This is another reason why we don’t give our all out to God. We give him excuses: flimsy excuses. Luke 14:16-20.
3. Feeling of inadequacy. Prophet Moses felt same. Exodus 4:10-14 but God made him realise that HE is able to do all things.
4. Trials. 2 Timothy 3:12 Persecutions we face from people sometimes deter us from giving our all out to God. This includes being insulted, being mocked , being threatened etc. The word of God however encourages us to do all things with our eyes fixed on our eternal prize just like Jesus Christ did during his time (Hebrews 12:2).
The Lord continue to be with us even as we purpose our hearts to be all out for God in Jesus name. Amen.
